Ingredients (Serves 4)
Matambre
- 1000 g beef matambre (flank or belly cut)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Toppings
- 250 ml tomato sauce
- 200 g mozzarella
- 1 tsp oregano
- 10 fresh basil leaves
- 1 bell pepper, cut into strips
- 1 onion, sliced into rings
Preparation
- Rub the beef matambre with olive oil and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the matambre on the grill and cook for about 20 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and lightly browned.
- Remove the grilled matambre from the grill and place it on a baking tray. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the meat.
- Sprinkle the grated mozzarella over the tomato sauce. Top with dried oregano, fresh basil leaves, bell pepper strips, and onion rings.
- Place the baking tray in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) and bake for about 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
- Remove the Matambre a la Pizza from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
